Uniform Policy

icon Girls' Uniform Items

School uniforms save parents time and money.  They also address security both in and out of the school.  Uniforms instill school spirit and a sense of belonging within the school community.  In addition, studies have shown that uniforms help ensure that a child’s self-esteem will come from who he/she is rather than from external trappings like clothing.

All students are to wear their Blessed Sacrament Catholic School uniform with pride and respect.  All clothing should be clean, properly fitting and in good repair (no holes, fraying, or stains).

Pre-School Students

  • Pre-School students are not required to wear uniforms, but should adhere to the guidelines for appropriate clothing as described under Relaxed Dress Days.

Used Uniforms

  • Used uniforms are for sale at school throughout the year for $3.00 per non-logo item and $5.00 per logo item. Used uniforms may be purchased at any time during the school year in the Front Office.  Sizes and specific items will vary based on availability. We always welcome donations of used uniforms which are in good condition, with no stains or damage.  Please drop them off any time during the school year.

Suggested Uniform Vendors

As of the 2010-2011 school year, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School encourages but does not require the use of suggested uniform vendors (with the exception of the girls’ plaid).  However, all uniform items purchased must meet the specific requirements of the uniform policy.

In order to facilitate clear understanding of our policy, we ask that if you have any questions about specific requirements (color shades, logo requirements, changes to the policy, items not allowed, etc.), please contact any member of the Dress Code Committee for clarification before purchasing or sending your child(ren) to school in the item.  This will prevent having to return items or wasted money by purchasing items not permitted.

Dress Code committee members are as follows:

Violation of Uniform Policy

Students should take pride in being members of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic School community, and adhering to the uniform policy is one way pride is shown.  Failure to cooperate with the dress code policy under minds our community effort and distracts our students from learning.

Students who choose not to wear required uniforms to school will not be able to participate in one or more upcoming Relaxed Dress Days during the year following the date of the violation.  Repeat violations will require further action as deemed appropriate by Administration.

Parents/Guardians are expected to monitor their students’ dress to ensure cooperation with our school uniform policy.  Parents/Guardians will be notified of any violations in writing, and students and parents will be asked to sign and return the notification with the expectation that the problem will be corrected immediately.
